Each step builds on the last. Missing or failing any stage means stopping the process. YUME guides you through each step β€” but success depends entirely on your effort, discipline, and commitment.

The Complete Selection Journey

Every step explained in full β€” exactly as outlined in the YUME Candidate Agreement.

01

Complete the Japanese Language Course

Duration: 6 Months

Before applying to YUME, every candidate must complete the full 6-month Japanese Language Course at Any Japanese Language School and demonstrate the required standard of language proficiency.

JLPT N5 or required level must be achieved by end of course.
Minimum academic performance must be maintained throughout.
Required attendance must be met β€” poor attendance disqualifies from YUME application.
Clean discipline record required during the entire course.

Tokyo Japanese Language School is separate from YUME. Completing the course does not guarantee any YUME selection, interview, or employment.

02

Submit Application to YUME

After Course Completion

After completing the language course and meeting all eligibility requirements, you may voluntarily submit your application to YUME. This begins YUME independent evaluation process.

Application is voluntary β€” you are never obligated to apply to YUME.
Submission does not guarantee selection or even an interview opportunity.
All information submitted must be accurate and truthful β€” false information results in immediate disqualification.
YUME signs the agreement with the candidate and parent/guardian before proceeding.
03

YUME Independent Evaluation

1–2 Weeks

YUME conducts its own thorough, independent evaluation of every applicant. This is completely separate from any school assessment and uses YUME own standards and criteria.

Japanese language proficiency exam conducted by YUME independently.
Oral interview to assess communication ability and confidence.
Character assessment β€” evaluating integrity, discipline, and attitude.
Lifestyle and behavioral evaluation β€” assessing suitability for Japan work environment.
Academic and discipline record review from the language school.

YUME determines evaluation standards at its sole discretion. All evaluation decisions are final. YUME is under no obligation to provide explanations beyond formal notification.

04

Interview Nomination with Japanese Company

Company Dependent

Candidates who successfully pass YUME evaluation may be nominated for interview consideration with Japanese companies. This nomination is a significant milestone β€” but not the final step.

Only top-performing candidates from the evaluation stage are nominated.
Final interview selection depends on Japanese company requirements and their own screening.
YUME does not guarantee interview success, job offer, or employment contract.
Conduct between selection and departure must remain exemplary β€” any misconduct cancels the nomination.

If the candidate is found involved in criminal activity, misconduct, false documentation, or reputation-damaging activities after nomination, YUME reserves the right to cancel selection immediately and finally.

05

Mandatory Pre-Departure Training

Duration: 2 Months

Upon successful interview selection, all candidates must complete a mandatory 2-month pre-departure training program at a designated Japanese language institute. This program is non-negotiable.

Intensive Japanese language revision to sharpen workplace communication skills.
Japanese workplace culture training β€” hierarchy, etiquette, punctuality, and professionalism.
Behavioral and discipline monitoring β€” strict compliance with rules throughout the program.
Communication practice and work ethics orientation for Japanese employer expectations.

Failure to complete the pre-departure training satisfactorily may result in cancellation of departure. Attendance and full compliance are mandatory β€” no exceptions.

Visa Processing & Departure to Japan

Final Stage

With training complete and all documentation in order, the visa application is submitted and departure is arranged. This is the final and most exciting stage of your YUME journey.

YUME assists with visa documentation preparation and review.
Final briefing and travel coordination before your departure date.
Visa approval is the sole decision of Japanese immigration β€” YUME does not guarantee issuance.
Employment conditions including salary, job type, and duration are determined by your Japanese employer.

Candidates who reach this stage have proven their language ability, discipline, character, and professional readiness. Your new life in Japan begins here.
