From Application to Japan β Step by Step
YUME's selection process is rigorous, transparent, and merit-based. Here is everything you need to know.
What to Expect
YUME's process is demanding by design. We prepare candidates not just to get to Japan β but to thrive once there.
Each step builds on the last. Missing or failing any stage means stopping the process. YUME guides you through each step β but success depends entirely on your effort, discipline, and commitment.
The Complete Selection Journey
Every step explained in full β exactly as outlined in the YUME Candidate Agreement.
Complete the Japanese Language Course
Before applying to YUME, every candidate must complete the full 6-month Japanese Language Course at Any Japanese Language School and demonstrate the required standard of language proficiency.
Tokyo Japanese Language School is separate from YUME. Completing the course does not guarantee any YUME selection, interview, or employment.
Submit Application to YUME
After completing the language course and meeting all eligibility requirements, you may voluntarily submit your application to YUME. This begins YUME independent evaluation process.
YUME Independent Evaluation
YUME conducts its own thorough, independent evaluation of every applicant. This is completely separate from any school assessment and uses YUME own standards and criteria.
YUME determines evaluation standards at its sole discretion. All evaluation decisions are final. YUME is under no obligation to provide explanations beyond formal notification.
Interview Nomination with Japanese Company
Candidates who successfully pass YUME evaluation may be nominated for interview consideration with Japanese companies. This nomination is a significant milestone β but not the final step.
If the candidate is found involved in criminal activity, misconduct, false documentation, or reputation-damaging activities after nomination, YUME reserves the right to cancel selection immediately and finally.
Mandatory Pre-Departure Training
Upon successful interview selection, all candidates must complete a mandatory 2-month pre-departure training program at a designated Japanese language institute. This program is non-negotiable.
Failure to complete the pre-departure training satisfactorily may result in cancellation of departure. Attendance and full compliance are mandatory β no exceptions.
Visa Processing & Departure to Japan
With training complete and all documentation in order, the visa application is submitted and departure is arranged. This is the final and most exciting stage of your YUME journey.
Candidates who reach this stage have proven their language ability, discipline, character, and professional readiness. Your new life in Japan begins here.
